FROM THE HEART OF SHAWN
As a child with Tourette's Syndrome, my life was a big challenge, going through school with everyone
mocking the things I had no control over. In the seventh grade I was kicked out of school because they thought it was behavior
problems, but it was not. I accepted Jesus Christ as my lord and savior at the age of 16. Through all the trials
and temptations that I have faced in my life, I grew to understand, that whatever happens in life is all for a purpose.
Living with Tourettes was not easy. As a dear friend of mine once said. " if we never go through valleys and stumble
and fall and temptations never come our way, we would never know the strength our heavenly father has to offer." At the
age of 18 God called me to the ministry and I started singing Gospel Music. In 1992, I recorded my first album "
IN THE GARDEN". February 2005 I had brain surgery for Tourettes. I am 95% better and my testimony is more powerful
than before, thanks to my heavenly father who I give all the praise and glory.

Monica is my three year old daughter that is full of energy and love. At the age of one,
every night before bedtime, I would take her in my arms and sing, " I CAN'T EVEN WALK WITHOUT YOU HOLDING MY HAND ", until
she went to sleep. While working with her, to teach her how to walk, she would pull up and hold to a table.
With a smile on her face and shaky knees, she reached up and took my hand. She walked with faith in me, knowing
that I would not let her fall. At that moment , I realized that she had showed me that as christians, we need to
reach up and take our Fathers hand and walk by faith and not by sight and we will stay in God's will.
